Workshop Description:

You've had a successful coaching practice, and now the conversations are changing. George Floyd; the pandemic; another police shooting of an unarmed Black man; and your client, a Black mother of two teenage boys seeking to become SVP of Procurement in the middle of a supply chain crisis. Buckle up, folks; you've still got to make a living.

Our responsibilities as coaches don't change because the world does. Our approach and understanding of the world's impact on our clients and our practice may shift, but we work in the best interests of our clients to help them gain clarity and focus on achieving their goals. However, the conversations may now be different and even a little uncomfortable. But what makes them uncomfortable? How do you become comfortable with your discomfort?

Workshop Outcomes:

Workshop participants will:
  • Gain a deeper understanding of DEI&J and its impact on coaching.
  • Learn tips and strategies for integrating DEIJ principles into your coaching practice to drive results.
  • Explore how you coach someone to have an uncomfortable DEI conversation when you've never had one.
  • Recognize that DEIJ is not extra work; but an enhancement to what you already do. how to mitigate bias in your coaching sessions
