Our January 10 luncheon program features Sandi Mitchell, PCC, and Siobhan O’Leary. Sandi Mitchell is CEO of Apex Catalyst Group, a firm focused on building leaders and their companies. Siobhan O’Leary is an executive coach and people and culture strategist with her firm, Aubergine Partners. They will talk about how they got on the global stage in Prague (oh, and affected the lives of hundreds of leaders and their teams in the process). You’ll learn what they did to build a world-class leadership program in this company that grew from 35 to 600 people in 6 years. You’ll hear how, with the direction of Millennial executives, they implemented a coach-centric leadership program almost from the beginning and how they created a language that permeates every level of the organization, based on values.

Creating Your Best Year Ever: 2020
Katherine Bock, PCC

12:00 – 1:00 PM CDT

Webinar Cost: No Fee for Members / $10 for Non-Members

Our January 14 webinar features Katherine Bock, PCC. Katherine is a career turnaround coach who helps professionals take charge of their careers to create more success, meaning and balance in their lives. As coaches, we realize the importance of clearing space for that which we want to create and the very important need for clarity about our values and the difference we want to make in the world and our lives. Before we create goals that are in alignment with our vision and values, we need to identify those values and create a mission statement for our business/lives.

Prior to the webinar
, please create a simple Mission Statement. Google “personal mission statement” prior to the call and write a “first bad draft” of your mission statement. Go to msb.franklincovey.com for a simple online process for creating a personal and business mission statement.

ICF North Texas 2019 Holiday Party - A Good Time Was Had By All!

The 2019 ICF North Texas Holiday Party was hosted at Noah’s Event Venue in Irving and had a fun ugly sweater theme (and contest!). With a buffet dinner provided by Blue Mesa, drink tickets and a holiday themed photo booth, there was something for everyone.

As a part of the festivities, games were played and prizes were awarded.  Although we know everyone in our chapter is a winner, here are the winners of the games and raffle prizes.

What's a LINC?

Laugh Interact Nurture and Contribute—an acronym that represents how our larger chapter gets smaller and more effectively connects our members to each other. LINCs are member-only small groups that are formed around a common interest. Our chapter has had LINCs formed to help members achieve their credentials or level up their credentials, to share in the discussion of a book that everyone has read, and to learn about digital marketing tools.

All that you need to do to launch a LINC group is identify an area of interest, put a little description around it and identify a place to meet (it can be virtual). Contact Jim Cooper or Cheryl Close, our members who launched the LINC concept and help us maintain the “loose” structure around it. They will assist, along with our Board leadership, to help you promote it to our chapter.

One of the currently active LINCs is the Digital Marketing LINC that meets on the first Friday of the month. The next meeting is February 7 at 9:30 AM CST. Click here to register.

Updated ICF Competencies - Webinar Available

In any profession, it is best practice to perform a job analysis regularly to ensure a competency model remains a valid and accurate reflection of professional practice. ICF last conducted a job analysis in 2008, and our profession has since grown and evolved significantly.

Over the past 24 months, ICF has been engaged in rigorous job analysis research. From start to finish, more than 1,300 coaches—both ICF Members and non-members—from around the globe have participated in this process. These coaches represented a diverse range of coaching disciplines, training backgrounds, coaching styles, and experience and credentialing levels. No other coaching certification body has undertaken this level of research, and we’re incredibly proud of the quality, integrity and validity of our evidence-based approach to credentialing and to the value it brings to ICF credential holders.

Learn more about the job analysis work and the new competency model, including a recorded webinar that contains questions and answers from ICF members about the credentialing process and the new model.

ICF is Growing!

This month, January 2020, marks a new beginning for ICF and a slight but important change to the name of our organization. The International Coach Federation is now The International Coaching Federation. It’s not just a new name, but a new way of serving coaches, coaching clients, our communities, and the world.

Also in 2020, ICF is celebrating its 25th anniversary, having been founded in 1995.
