Virtual Meeting / Program Fee: Chapter Members: $10 / Non-Chapter Members: $20
Lisa M. Ong, PCC, CPA, is an award-winning diversity and inclusion strategy consultant, speaker, and professional certified executive coach. As a widely-known "talent gardener" and "inclusion connector,” CEOs hire her to co-create their diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy to cultivate belonging cultures as great places to work. D CEO Magazine named her to The Dallas 500 in their 2021 and 2020 directories as "one of the most powerful business leaders in DFW."
Diane Whiting, MSOD, PCC is a Coach Supervision Practitioner who works with new and experienced coaches. Her work is directed at deepening the coach’s practice through reflection and reinforcing the importance and role of the coach’s ongoing self-development resulting in greater impact as a coach. She is passionate about walking alongside her coaching clients on the journey of transformation from ‘doing’ coaching to being a coach.
Rogers Turner Jr, an accomplished trainer, communicator, published author, and Executive Life Coach has lived and worked abroad for Fortune 200 entities with expertise in sales, sales training, relationship marketing and cyber security. He is President of Leveling Up Today, LLC, a referral-based coaching practice dedicated to working with individuals who are "lost" and know it, helping them gain life clarity, purpose, and alignment, and solving challenges through experiential exercises.
In this program, participants will learn how to use an identity exercise that Diane Whiting has used to help coaches in training to reflect on their own identity and how it shapes their coaching lens. Lisa M. Ong will share a tool to assist you in mapping your own and your clients' map of the world to increase awareness of how our values shape our behavior and to better understand your client's current behavior and how they may behave in the future given their cultural context, values, experiences, and beliefs. Lisa and Diane will be joined by Rogers Turner to share their experiences and client examples. The panelists will explore how a greater awareness of identity and culture has strengthened their coaching connection and presence to grow their coaching niches.

November 8 Virtual Coaches Gathering in English and Spanish
In November 2020, ICF Mexico hosted the first virtual gathering between our two countries. Ninety-minute back-to-back conversations took place in English and in Spanish for coaches to meet, exchange experiences and views on the future of coaching, and make new friends. ICF San Antonio and ICF Chicago were the only participants from the US. A similar event is occurring this year on November 8, and ICF San Antonio, ICF Houston, and ICF Chicago are participating, as well as a few members of ICF North Texas.
Please contact Natalie Mendez at secretary@icf-nt.com if you are interested in participating. We want to understand and better serve any Spanish-speaking coaches in our North Texas area and we are excited about what this may open up for us ahead.
November 8 event:
• 10:00 – 11:45 (CT) English group
• 12:00 – 13:45 (CT) Spanish group
• 13:45 – 14:00 (CT) All attendees

Member Snapshot - Patricia Hayden, ACC
In our ongoing effort to help you connect with our wide variety of professional coaches at ICF-NT, we are pleased to feature Patricia Hayden, ACC this month!
We love that Patricia is known for her cross-cultural approach to coaching, which she can provide in several languages.
Organization / What type of coaching do you offer? My coaching expertise is leadership development, cultural intelligence and strategic communication at the Senior Executive and C-Suite level. This has been a natural evolution of my international business career in the US, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East. My business is called Intercultural Consulting https://interculturalconsulting.com.
Credentials: I am an ICF Certified Coach (ACC). I am also a Certified Professional Coach (CPC). I hold a master’s degree in International Economics and Latin American Studies from the Anderson School of Business (UCLA) and a BA in foreign languages from Georgetown University. I am the author of the Global Work Styles Inventory™ (GWSI), a global leadership development tool and cross-cultural competency/workstyle capability assessment for individuals and teams. And I am also a certified BrainStyles® coach.
Training: I bring 20+ years of global business and management consulting expertise to my coaching work every day. I work in English, Spanish, French, or Portuguese, depending on the communication preferences of my clients.
Why coaching: Through my work in management consulting, over time, I was repeatedly asked to work one-on-one with leaders and teams to help them enhance cultural awareness, cultural alignment, interpersonal communication skills, and more. That led me down a path to becoming a professional coach and consultant. For me it is an honor and a privilege to be a trusted advisor and executive coach to high performing leaders and their organizations.
Favorite client or team story: I was brought in as an executive coach to a C-level client who was having difficulty leading a global team preparing the launch of a consumer product in time for an upcoming Super Bowl. The advertising had been paid for but the product, due to myriad cultural differences and interpersonal communication style misfires, the product development was way behind schedule. My client, realizing I knew the languages (and cultures!) of his product launch partners, brought me in to decipher his local team's blind spots as well as other cultural and linguistic stumbling blocks. I became a trusted advisor to all sides of the endeavor and ultimately brought them together to overcome their differences. Their work picked up speed and the product launched in time for the Super Bowl.
Why you are a member ICF NT? I have lived locally and worked globally for years. I first joined ICF Global, then I quickly realized there is indeed a local ICF North Texas chapter and I wanted to join. Expanding my work here in North Texas is important to me and I can see that ICF North Texas is a great place to enhance my local business growth. The seminars and ongoing learning are solid, and I especially enjoy neuroscience topics that are offered and training like the recent Brilliance rather than Burnout that helps us stay our best for our clients. I really appreciate how ICF North Texas makes it easy to get the CCEUs we need to recertify our credentials. It is amazing to qualify for national credentials with a vast array of offerings from our local chapter.
What else would you like to share with members? I have not only enjoyed travel around the globe for work, I have been able to enjoy it personally and to tie it in with my passion for medieval studies. The photo here shows me at the moment I met a Bedouin woman in the rugged desert canyons of the “Lost City” of Petra in southwestern Jordan. She was selling rocks from this prehistoric site, famous for being a once thriving trading center along the Silk Road. It is really fun to live what I would otherwise only see in movies like Raiders of the Lost Arc! My travels and experiences often help me to relate even more to my culturally-diverse clients, and I’m so thankful I get to work in this fascinating niche of coaching.
