What are the benefits of becoming associated with a local ICF chapter?

Becoming associated with a local ICF chapter offers benefits such as reduced fees for events and workshops, chapter voting privileges, eligibility for board positions, participation in local conferences, networking opportunities, special interest (LINC) groups, and earning Continuing Coaching Education Units (CCEUs).

What is the difference between the “membership” types and fees?

“Membership” types typically include Full Membership for those already part of ICF Global and Associate Membership for those not part of ICF Global. The fees and specific benefits associated with each type vary.

Do I need to be a member of ICF Global to associate with a local chapter?

No, it is not required to be a member of ICF Global to associate with a local chapter. However, Full Membership in a local chapter is available for those who are also members of ICF Global.

What types of training and professional development opportunities are available through a local ICF chapter?

Local ICF chapters offer various training and development programs, such as ICF-accredited training, mentor coaching, professional development modules, special interest (LINC) groups, and access to specialized training programs.

What is the process for earning and maintaining ICF credentials?

Earning and maintaining ICF credentials involves meeting specific educational and experience requirements, passing performance evaluations, and adhering to ICF’s ethical standards. Continuing education and professional development are also required to maintain credentials.

What support is available for new coaches or those seeking to advance their skills?

Local ICF chapters provide support for new coaches through mentoring programs, networking opportunities, workshops, special interest (LINC) groups, and access to a community of experienced coaches for guidance and collaboration.

Member Profile

 

How do I access my profile?

You must be logged into the website to access your profile. Select the "profile" link located just above the main menu.

How can potential clients, website visitors and other members access my profile?

Your profile is accessible from the "Find a Coach" page. A potential client or other member can access your profile by clicking on your name. The profile information you have submitted and choose to display will be visible. The more information you include, the better!

Can I control how much information is shared on my profile?

You should always maintain current contact information on your profile for membership purposes, but you can control the information that is shared on the "Find a Coach" page.

Access your profile and select the Member Directory option, under the personal info column. The first item on the page it the option to select Visibility of your information. A drop down menu is available. Choose from the options provided to limit or permit visibility of your personal information.

Can I add Facebook, LinkedIn and other social media profiles to my North Texas Coaches profile?

Yes, you can add social media links for the following:

Log in to your profile and access Member Directory. Add your username for each of the respective social media options and a link will appear on your directory page. We also encourage you to “like” and “follow” our Facebook and LinkedIn pages.


Membership Renewal


When do I need to renew my membership?

Membership renews annually based on the date that you originally joined the organization. Memberships are valid for one year from the date you joined or your last renewal date.

Your membership expiration date can be viewed on your Profile page.

How do I renew my membership

Approximately 30 days before your membership expires, you will receive an email to notify you of the need to renew and a website link to complete your renewal online. Please complete the online form, verify your contact information and make any needed updates.




Program/Event Calendar Registration

 
How do I register for an upcoming meeting or other event?
  1. Locate the event on the calendar. If registration is open and available, click the Register button at the right side of the page. Registration and payment is a two step process.
  2. Fill in the requested registration information and make sure to click the Complete Registration button. If there is a fee for the event, you will be prompted to make payment after the registration is accepted. You must pay in advance to guarantee the reservation.
  3. If you have completed the registration process correctly, you will receive two confirmation emails: A Registration Confirmation and a Payment Confirmation
I registered for an event, but did not receive the two confirmation emails, a Registration Confirmation AND a Payment Confirmation. Was there a problem?

For all successful registrations, two confirmation emails are sent within the hour. If you did not receive both a Registration Confirmation and a Payment Confirmation, there was a problem and your registration is not complete.

  1. You may not have properly completed payment. Please log in to the site again and if your payment was not properly processed, you will have a "Pending Payment" notice at the top of the main menu near the profile link. If so, click it and you will be directed to the Payment page where you can enter your credit card information again. You will receive a Payment Confirmation email when you have paid successfully.
  2. You did not complete all steps in the registration process. If you did not click the Complete Registration button to confirm your registration on the website, your reservation was not received. Please re-register.
  3. If you are still having difficulties, please contact the Event Contact volunteer listed on the Program/Event description page.
